Read about our progress in our Annual and Sustainability report 2020 with the complementary GRI Appendix.
Our sustainability strategy is linked to the United Nations Agenda 2030. The four focus areas mainly contribute to six of the seventeen sustainable development goals (SDG).
Our business shall be conducted in a responsible manner. All employees, agents, distributors and suppliers are obligated to follow the Mycronic code of conduct. It covers topics such as anti-corruption, labour rights, human rights, and environment. In addition suppliers have a separate supplier code of conduct. In event of a breach of the Mycronic code of conduct an external and anonymous whistle-blower service is in place to which observations can be reported.
Information security is of high importance to minimize business risk and we work hard to maintain a high standard. We continuously invest in IT-systems to safeguard
us from any potential data breaches.
This focus area addresses the UN SDG goals 8: Decent work and economic growth and 16: Peace, Justice and strong institutions.
Reduce environmental impact
At Mycronic we work to reduce the environmental impact, not just in our operations but also during the product lifecycle. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint and our waste, as well as to avoid hazardous substances. Like all producing companies product quality is very important and has a direct link to the environmental impact. Insufficient product quality impacts the environment through increased use of resources such as material and energy. Management systems of our major production sites are certified to ISO 9001 (Quality) and 14001 (Environmental) standards. Our sites in Sweden (Mycronic AB), USA (AEi Inc.) and France (Vi TECHNOLOGY) are integrated into the single ISO 9001:2015/14001:2015 multi-site certificate.
This focus area addresses the UN SDG goals 12: Responsible consumption and production and 13: Climate action.
