Case - TEMA SpA



Italian subcontractor TEMA SpA realized that in order to stay competitive, they had to invest for the future. Their clients were demanding more customized solutions and just-in-time delivery. TEMA lacked an SMT assembly solution that could operate efficiently, with high utilization, in a complex high-mix production environment.



Two Mycronic synergy lines combined with powerful software became the backbone of TEMA's assembly solution. TEMA uses Mycronic's APM suite for easy data preparation, job sequencing, line balancing, and feeder optimization. But it's in materials handling that Mycronic's SW adds the greatest value by providing fast feeder loading, location tracking, stock accuracy and proactive replenishment.



TEMA's SMT equipment utilization is an impressive 80-90 percent. This is achieved with just two production personnel – one line operator and one person preparing new
jobs. And by connecting Mycronic's materials management SW with their storage
and ERP systems, TEMA now has complete control over component quantity,
location, and reordering.
