Mycronic launches MYPro A41 series to expand large board PCB assembly capabilities

Mycronic introduces the MYPro A41DX-17 and MYPro A41SX-17, two new placement machines designed to help electronics manufactures push the boundaries of printed circuit board (PCB) assembly. The official launch is scheduled for mid-November with machine deliveries expected during 2025.

The MYPro A41™ series is aimed at producers who need to assemble larger PCBs. The new models are built on the strengths of the MYPro A40™ series, offering expanded board dimensions, increased flexibility, and enhanced performance, while still being compatible with existing software and the Agilis product offering.

“Our customers are looking for ways to extend their production capabilities and future-proof their investments,” said Liam Zäther, Product Manager Pick-and-Place, PCB Assembly Solutions. “The MYPro A41 series is engineered to deliver the flexibility and performance they need as board sizes and complexity continue to grow.”

The machines are engineered for customers who require assembly of boards longer than 640 mm or wider than 510 mm. With the new T1000 Conveyor, users can handle boards up to 1000 mm by 609 mm and up to 12.5 mm thick, supporting weights up to 10 kilograms. The MX7 high-speed mount head enables precise placement for a wide range of components, regardless of size, on large substrates.

Full backward compatibility with existing feeders and magazines allows customers to leverage their current Agilis product range while expanding their design possibilities.

The MYPro A41DX-17 has a rated speed of 49,000 components per hour and includes standard electrical verification of components for quality assurance. Setup is intuitive with familiar software, offering the same ease and flexibility as previous Mycronic machines - now with support for larger boards.

According to the product team, the MYPro A41 series stands out for its combination of speed, flexibility, and compatibility. The A41 will offer big board manufacturing while still offering all the same software options and accessories as the A40 series.

Mycronic encourages interested parties who visit Productronica 2025, in Munich, Germany November 18-21 to stop by their booth A3.249 and speak with their experts or get in touch with their local sales office to learn more.
