This Christmas, Mycronic supports education in Ghana

At Mycronic, we believe innovation starts with opportunity, and that includes access to education. This Christmas, we are proud to support Together as one a non-profit charity organization dedicated to giving children in rural Ghana the chance to learn, grow, and dream big.

Long journeys and poor roads from 46 remote villages

We learned about the challenging conditions these children face in accessing quality education through former Mycronic employee Eija Engborg. Children from 46 remote villages often endure long journeys on jungle roads that are barely accessible to vehicles. Eija recently returned from Ghana visiting her daughter Therese Engborg, manager at Together as one. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure that every child has access to education and the hope of a brighter future - a privilege that is far from guaranteed.

It is more than just school

During her visit, Eija witnessed firsthand not only the vital role that school plays in these children’s lives, but also how it improves their overall well-being. Beyond education, at Together as one’s school, children make new friends, enjoy nutritious meals and have access to clean drinking water, essentials that are not always available at home. Volunteers from around the world also help broaden their horizons, introducing new perspectives and possibilities.

How Mycronic contributes

As this year’s Christmas gift, Mycronic’s donation will help fund a much-needed school bus. We believe it to be a gift that will make a real difference. With safe transportation, children can continue their education without the daily struggle of long, difficult commutes. It’s a step toward making education accessible for all.
