Mycronic joins United Nations Global Compact
Sustainability is a key element of Mycronic’s business strategy and we are continuously working to improve our management of the sustainability challenges that we face. A lot of work remains, but we continue to lay a solid foundation with the aim to contribute to a more sustainable electronics industry.
In February 2020, Mycronic joined the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. By joining this initiative, Mycronic reinforces its commitment to operate in alignment with universal principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

The United Nations Global Compact is based on voluntary commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to take steps to support UN goals. Endorsed by chief executives, the UN Global Compact is a leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible corporate policies and practices.

The 10 principles
Human Rights
- Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
- Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
Labor
- Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
- Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labor;
- Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labor; and
- Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
Environment
